How To Invite Prospects In Your Network Marketing Business

Invite ProspectsHow do you invite prospects to take a look at your business opportunity?

This is a very big challenge for most people because they don’t know how to go about it.

If you are struggling with getting people to see your presentation or come for a meeting, I understand how it is.

It can be so frustrating when you invite a prospect to a presentation and they don’t show up! We all experience that.

Even if you are using attraction marketing strategies to qualify your prospects, that step of inviting your prospect to an event is also key to the success of your network marketing business.

On so many occasions, I have invited prospects to a meeting or an online presentation and they never bothered to show up! Worst of it all, not even a single call or message to let me know why they cannot make it.

Do you want to know how to invite prospect? Before I go into detail to show you what exactly you should say in your invite scripts, it is important that you first understand the difference between inviting and pitching/selling/convincing.

What Not To Say When Inviting MLM Prospects

Most network marketers especially those who are brand new fall into the trap of pitching their products and opportunity when they are inviting their prospects.

What happens is that, their intention is to give the prospect every reason to say yes to the invite and to get them interested in what you are doing and also to pre-sell them.

Unfortunately, when you do this you end up getting an opposite result. It will only end up raising resistance. And during the invitation process, you want to ensure that you do everything possible to lower the resistance and make it easy for the prospect to say yes to your invitation.

Invitation Methods That Let Your Prospect Imagination Go Wild

When you let prospects in on parts of your presentation during the invite process without them having the opportunity to go through the entire presentation, what it will do is to build up a bunch of red flags in their minds.

And if you give your prospects just a few details (the most important ones) without giving them the opportunity to go through the entire presentation, they are just going to fill in the gaps in their minds of what they think your opportunity is all about.

In other words, their imaginations will run wild with everything you probably don’t want them to start thinking about.

This is because what majority of the people who have no idea about what network marketing will think about is ‘’Selling products’’, ‘’I don’t like selling’’, ‘’Scam’’, ‘’People don’t like to do such business’’

Your prospect will start thinking about all the reasons why they don’t want to do what you are doing because they don’t have the full information about what your opportunity is really about.

The Best Way To Invite Prospects

When you want to invite prospects for a business presentation, your invitation should have only two goals.

Number one is to lower the resistance as much as possible, and two is to set up an appointment.

Anything you try to do like selling or convincing during the invitation process will be counterproductive to those two goals.

Some Rules To Follow

There are a few rules you need to follow when inviting prospects.

Rule #1. Be In A Hurry

When you are in a hurry, it lowers the resistance and discourages any form of questions from the prospect.

Rule #2. Compliment The Prospect

People love it when you compliment them. However, this might not be necessary when you are inviting your closest friend or family member that you talk to every day. But when you are talking with someone who is not close to you, you have to find a way to give them a compliment. This will contribute greatly in lowering the resistance and make it easy for them to give you a yes.

Rule #3. Get A Specific Date, Time, And Place

You don’t want to be vague with your plans. When you are vague, it will result in you chasing after people and looking desperate, and that’s not professional.

MLM Invitation Scripts For Your Hot Market

Who are your ‘’Hot Market?’’ These are people who you know you best. These people are very close to you. For these kinds of people, the best script you can use for them is this:

‘’Hello Jack, I am just rushing out for an appointment and I needed to speak to you quickly. I really don’t have a lot of time right now to talk but are you free so we can meet over the weekend on Saturday morning to be precise? There is something very important I would like to show you….ok, great, I will catch up with you at your place by 10 am.’’

It is as simple as it is. But, this script is not meant to make you robotic. You can play around and add your own words like, ‘’I want to show you the new project I am currently working on’

Always make sure there is that element of curiosity in your invitation, but never tell them what it’s all about.

Again, never tell the prospect ‘’there is this business I just started and I want you to come to take a look at it and give me your honest opinion.’’ This is what some leaders teach and I don’t buy that.

Think about it, why should you be seeking someone’s opinion on a business you have already started?

That’s crazy if you ask me. Besides, the person you are talking to is not a business consultant/coach so there is no point in seeking their advice.

What If They Ask What It’s All About?

There is every tendency that after you invite prospects and raise the curiosity, they are going to ask you what it’s all about.

So how do you handle that?

This is the most important reason why you need to be in a hurry. You really don’t have the time to start going into detail so you can say something like this…

‘’Jack, I’m rushing out of the house right now to catch up with an appointment and I really don’t have much time on my hands to start going into details. Plus, what I want to show you is 90% visuals and trying to explain it to you on the phone will not make any sense, but I can show you everything when we meet.”

But What If They Are Persistent And They Really Want To Know?

Do not tell them. if they are insisting you tell them what it is, then all they are doing is simply looking for a reason to say no to your invitation.

And if that happens to be the case, there is no point in trying to put yourself in a position to plead and beg them to give you a yes.

Having said that, here is the best way to handle such situation…

‘’Jack, if you insist I give you every detail now, not only will it not make any sense to you, you will also have more questions to ask that I have the time to answer. But if you don’t want to meet, that’s OK. I’m sorry you are going to miss out, but I really have to go now.’’

What If They Say No?

You can come back to them later. But make sure you maintain your posture and act like a confident, successful entrepreneur rather than give up your posture and start pleading, begging and chasing after prospects.
