My best social media platform for building my business is facebook, and that is the platform I highly recommend for any newbie who is just getting started . The good thing about facebook is that, it helps you to quickly narrow down on your audience. The platform has been built in such a way that it makes it very easy for it’s users to interact with each other effortlessly. With facebook, you can easily connect with your target audience and start building your following.

  1. Be Real, Don’t Be Robotic

While it is good to automate your business, it is important that you also appear real on social media. Let people be able to connect and interact with you. Don’t be robotic because people will like you more when they get to know what you are really up to.

One way I connect with people is through my facebook community. You can start a facebook group and engage in real conversation with your thribe. The essence is to build the know, like and trust factor.

You can also get on the phone with your prospects. This strategy has a lot of power that accompanies it. When people listen to your voice, it commands so much power and they end up liking you more and even appreciating you for jumping on the phone with them.

This really shows how much you care for the prospect. You have to always make it about them and not all about you.

  1. Stay Positive

You primary reason for being on facebook is not to make enemies, but to build quality relationships that will benefit you and the other party.

It beats my imagination how some people come on facebook to post negative status updates on their timeline. I secretly delete such people from my friend list without even notifying them because I am very careful with what I feed my mind with.

I want you to visit your social media profiles after reading this article and take a good look at your profile and the kind of posts that you share. Will it really attract the right set of people you want to work with or will it be repelling people?
