In network marketing, before you get serious people who are ready to join your team, you will need to get your offer in front of so many people.

Some of the people who will take a look at your opportunity will join you.

Your ability to get those few people signed up in your business will be dependent on some factors such as your skill-sets, your personality, the quality of prospects you are showing your offer etc.

The Two MLM Lead Generation Methods

There are basically two MLM lead generation methods that you can use in your business.

1. Active MLM lead generation
2. Passive MLM lead generation

Both MLM lead generation methods are good, but your personality will determine which of these methods you will be very good at.

However, my advice is that you learn the skills required to use both methods in your business even though you are better at one.

The reason is that that will help you to reach and recruit more people in your business.

1. Active MLM Lead Generation

This MLM lead generation method has to do with you prospecting people.

It is all about reaching out to prospects by calling them on the phone, having conversations with people on social media, having a one-on-one meeting with people, etc.

One good thing about this method is that you can actually have some level of control over your activities.

Once you know how many people you want to talk to each day or week, you can actually set your target and keep working until you hit the number.

You may not have control over how many recruits you will get, but hence we are applying the law of averages in our business, you know exactly how many people you need to talk to before you get a signup.

This will help you to set goals and keep working on them with a predictable result in mind.

The disadvantage of this method is that you are going to face a lot of rejection from prospects.

You also need some basic people skills. The skills required are learnable, though.

2. Passive MLM Lead Generation

This form of lead generation has to do with marketing.

Marketing is quite different from prospecting.

You can prospect anyone but marketing is on purpose. It is designed for a specific person in mind.

The passive MLM lead generation method has to do with using strategies like blogging, creating contents on social media, doing Youtube videos, etc.

It is all about putting out valuable content that solves specific problems for a group of people you want to attract to you.

These contents educate and sell your prospects on the importance of working you in your business.

So what do you teach people?

A lot of network marketers think they need to become experts or have amazing results before they can teach others. This is not true.

Whatever you were struggling with or still struggling with, there are lots of other network marketers out there who are having similar struggles.

Your job is to find out what questions your target audience is always asking. Even if you don’t know the answers to those questions, that becomes your assignment.

Educate yourself and find out the answers to those questions, then teach other people what you have learned.

It has never been easier to access information than it is today. With your smartphone and internet connection, you can access almost any information on the internet for free once you ask the right questions.

One good thing about this strategy is that the more you teach others, the more you learn and grow as a network marketer. People will also look up to you as a leader and their trusted adviser.

Once you are focused on solving people’s problems and also providing answers to their questions, they tend to place less emphasis on your track record. Instead, they evaluate you based on the things that you help them with.

As long as you keep offering value and solving people’s problems, you will keep attracting an endless stream of high-quality leads who always want you to help them.

This MLM lead generation method is so powerful such that even an introvert can use it to build his/her business.
